International Shipping

There is a possiblity of shipping a board to Portugal, and costs on USPS are looking like ~$50. What methods do you all recommend using to ship from USA to Europe? Average cost?

USPS is the cheapest in general.
Also USPS coordinates with the local postal services making tax declaration a lot cheaper (fedex charges the customer ~35$ for that cash-in service) and, depending on the liking, easier.
I always demand USPS when i buy in the US, and refrain from ordering when USPS is declined. ymmv.

I don't understand how USA->EU cost a lot when Hong Kong -> EU is basically free... Or does government do some good?
