Hello,

I am looking for a non-staggered keyboard PCBs. I cant believe that you can get staggered keyboards for pennies and non non-staggered keyboards cost a fortune. Moreover if you just order one custom PCB it is really expensive.

So I thought someone knows a supplier for non-staggered keyboard PCBs.

In fact, I you only need a PCB which wires all the switches, as it is not very expensive to make your own PCB for the controller.

On the other hand there might me enough enthusiast to design and order some custom non-staggered keyboard PCBs, which wire all the switches. Maybe we could design some PCBs of the size 8 times 8 with some connectors, so that everyone combine these modules in order to get the desired size. Moreover we should consider whether we should try to use a one-layer PCB or a more expensive two-layer PCB. I think that if we would use a two-layer PCB, there is enough space to wire the optional LED in every switch.

Perhaps you might be interested in a freely programmable matrix?

There have been several people that used these boards to make non staggered and split layouts.
