RJ11 on Monterrey Minitouch

While eagerly waiting for a Monterrey Minitouch on the mail (thanks again Mike!), I've been checking if its RJ11 connector is functional at all and if it could be used through some kind of adaptor as a removable cable, which would be so handy... After many searches, it seems to be of no use whatsoever according to the info below, but I can't be sure if this was the case for every single model or just for that particular one, as there was so much variation and versions of the keyboard:
The RJ11 is not connected inside the case. Matter of fact, the RJ11 jack doesn't even have the metal wires installed, and there are NO PADS inside the case to which one might assume a number pad was attached. It appears that the RJ11 was intended as a removable cable for the MiniTouch itself, since the only thing within a solder splash of the empty RJ11 jack is the jack for the AT cable to attach.
Anybody has info/experience with this? It would be great if could be re-purposed somehow as removable keyboard cable...

Thank you Daniel. I missed that as I was checking the wrong entry on the wiki. I was looking at the SIIG MiniTouch
wiki/SIIG_MiniTouch
Cheers
