Cherry MX switches case material and wave soldering

I am looking to either reflow or wave solder a bunch of PCBs with Cherry MX switches. It would be good to know what material is used to make the Cherry MX so that I don't end up melting/killing them all I do have the option of using low temp solder if it comes down to that.
Does anyone know what material the casing of the Cherry MX switches are made of?
Cherry website simply says thermoplastic, which is not a lot of help.
Cherry web site also says "Solderability: Wave solder, 5 seconds at 500°F". I am kind of suspicious of that with the central column sticking out. Can anyone share their experience of wave soldering?
Thanks!
