Which 60%? HHKB Pro2 or other?

I was playing with an idea of buying HHKB, but from what I've read, I would need to quickly upgrade it with HASU controller to be able to program the layout.
Should go with HHKB or other 60% boards?
How is it using 60% and other layouts, sizes - like one at work, then different one at home - do you quickly adjust to the layout, or should I better stick to one?

If you have a programmable hhkb it wouldn't be too different to a normal 60% board. I would rather make a switch decision now and then see what to get. If you want topre get a hhkb, if you want cherry or alps go with a different board

Yep, I prefer Topre, so that is why was looking at HHKB, but mx greens are nice too, so there is always a choice...
How about those profiles/layouts - how fast can you adjust?
Would you work on different once, lets say at work, then at home? Would it work or would it constantly make me make mistakes?

I use a HHKB in work and more regular layouts at home, and I don't have any issues. YMMV.

If you want a more standard layout, you might opt for the 660c instead - it's just a little bigger than the HHKB and has a plate, so is much more weighty (which is subjective whether you like or not), hasu has a drop-in board for it too and it goes for a similar price. I've heard great things about the HHKB layout though. Personally, I'd say the 660c is my favorite feeling board so far (compared to an RF87u with 45g, never touched a 55g or an hhkb).

First, you could try to use only the 60% part of a normal 104 keyboard to check whether you could get used to the 60% layout. Second, if you decide to buy/assemble a 60% keyboard, HHKB or any other MX 60% kit(like GH60, Infinity 60, etc) do not make that much difference in daily usage. Unless that you really like Topre above MX, I would recommend MX keyboards. The feel of Topre is nice and smooth. I got a HHKB which is lubed, silenced and Novatouched. But after all it's much more expensive than another MX 60% keyboard I have, which also has nice smooth switches and is programmable. Most of all, in my opinion, the MX 60% keyboards have an overwhelming advance that they support all these beautiful MX SA/DSA/GMK keycaps without any issue.

If I would be getting HHKB I would definitely be modding it 55g. Maybe even Novatouching to be able to put my lovely SA sets.
In perfect world, I would get a keyboard just without F row.
