Buy cheap, pay twice.

The keycool from qtan's store would be what I'd go for, other than that second hand.

They buy in huge amounts and directly from suppliers instead of re-sellers.

Yes you'll be a millionaire, go for it.

I'd go for a HPE 87 from Qtan's ebay. Supposed to be better quality than the Keycool and they come in white if that's your thing.

CMStorm is probably the cheapest. $64 and free shipping from amazon, beats out pretty much anything on price and is good quality, just may be ugly.

Damn!!! That is the cheapest flipping mechanical keyboard i've seen. Is that stuff fo real? What are the drawbacks?
It using ALPS clones would be the biggest, IMO.

If you are going to use the board for any gaming, the 1087XM with Alps Blacks would be the better choice. The Greens are similar to Cherry MX Blues; tactile and clicky (noisy), but a little lighter.

I have all four boards that have been mentioned. My preference would be the KeyCool, but the CM is also a decent board.

Better watch out. Spam payload forthcoming! We should probably delete this guy now before he's back to edit later.

That would be a hell of a setup from 2012 to spam now!
Probably just deleting his posts for whatever reason.

Good point. Never even occurred to me the account was anything but a burner.

Trouble is, this thread has great SEO potential. Just look at that title. So it's a top target for spammy links. Somewhat amazed we haven't seen it abused until now!

These posts are most [][][][] {}{}[]. But what happens when they're edited in a week from now and we don't notice?

You have a point about the SEO. Could the spy be setup to report newly edits in threads along the new posts?
Might get chaotic though when seebart is in edit mode!

I'd definitely like a view of that. Most people might not, but it doesn't have to replace the default Spy.

Perhaps a list of edits to posts more than 12 hours old? The Spy is how we find the spammers, who typically necro ancient stuff like this just to avoid us. With a bit more smarts, they could! A late edit overview would help us keep an eye on this too.

Not only him, I too sometimes edit a post a bunch of times, especially longer ones. The magic of not seeing your mistakes until you hit "Submit" is really something else.
