Indeed. Needless to say: they're sweet boards. (So long as they're buckling spring. I saw a membrane one for sale recently. I've never touched one of those.)

It's Buckling Spring.

Excellent. How much roughly did it set you back? I'm after one (ANSI is fine by me) for hacking into an SSK!

Type 3 case with fixed cable, green 'ALT', red-brownish secondary num-pad legends ..
Great find, congratulations !!
The price is more than good - I wouldn't even sell a board like that !

It's a detachable cable, only flaw is the section the LED's are in is a little dent in it.

I got to take apart a membrane one recently, and they are not too great for a membrane keyboard.

What is important about them, though, is that they share a LOT of parts with a normal model M. All you need to do is add springs/hammers "blanket (most likely), and keycaps (and bolt mod it of course). For parts, there's a case, barrel frame, controller, cable, etc.

That IS a good find, congrats! Enjoy your keyboard. I, too, got a good model M in excellent shape, and it's really a joy to type on.

One would have thought that they'd use the same membranes as the buckling spring Model Ms, but maybe not.

I've been using an ANSI M13 for awhile so its nice to have ISO now, not sure why an ANSI M13 ended up in the UK in the first place though.

Because of guys like me and Matt3o who prefer ANSI over ISO, no matter what our fellow countrymen think!

I doubt there's many ISO fans in the ANSI-world, but I've learned to always expect a surprise.

We won't know until I open it, but it sure looks like the membrane is the same.

I should probably have specified that I took apart a rubber dome over membrane one recently, instead of the well-loved hammer over membarne one everyone knows.

Wow, that's a pretty great price for a Model M in good condition. Mine was about €30 plus new a load of new keycaps plus a lifetime of thankyous to my girlfriend for making her bring it back from the US for me. :evilgeek:
