It's Buckling Spring.Muirium wrote:Indeed. Needless to say: they're sweet boards. (So long as they're buckling spring. I saw a membrane one for sale recently. I've never touched one of those.)

I got to take apart a membrane one recently, and they are not too great for a membrane keyboard.Muirium wrote:Indeed. Needless to say: they're sweet boards. (So long as they're buckling spring. I saw a membrane one for sale recently. I've never touched one of those.)
One would have thought that they'd use the same membranes as the buckling spring Model Ms, but maybe not.dorkvader wrote:I got to take apart a membrane one recently, and they are not too great for a membrane keyboard
I've been using an ANSI M13 for awhile so its nice to have ISO now, not sure why an ANSI M13 ended up in the UK in the first place though.dorkvader wrote:That IS a good find, congrats! Enjoy your keyboard. I, too, got a good model M in excellent shape, and it's really a joy to type on.
We won't know until I open it, but it sure looks like the membrane is the same.Daniel Beardsmore wrote:One would have thought that they'd use the same membranes as the buckling spring Model Ms, but maybe not.dorkvader wrote:I got to take apart a membrane one recently, and they are not too great for a membrane keyboard
Wow, that's a pretty great price for a Model M in good condition. Mine was about €30 plus new a load of new keycaps plus a lifetime of thankyous to my girlfriend for making her bring it back from the US for me.remlap wrote:£21 plus postage.Muirium wrote:Excellent.
