Alps Bigfoot just got more complicated

TL;DR: Ignore this whole topic

Sandy's Wang/Chicony hybrid.

Notice that Alps have re-used the "Bigfoot" body for a rubber dome keyboard.

Silitek did exactly the same thing with the Dell AT101R, shortly before it was superseded by the SK-1000RE "QuietKey".

*Sigh*

Nothing in the Alps world is ever simple or able to be tidily tagged :(

Doesn't look like the Bigfoot body to me? At least what I thought the Bigfoot body was.

No that isn't a Bigfoot case. The spacing between key groups on this case is even, where as it is uneven on the Bigfoot; Sandy would not have been able to transplant Chicony innards into a Bigfoot's case.

The spacings on Dell and SGI keyboards look pretty even to me.

I'm getting confused though — memory leakage. I refer to Bigfoot keyboards as "banana" as a joke, but it turns out I was correct: they are banana shaped. The one pictured above has a reverse curve like an AEK II. For some reason I thought Bigfoot keyboards had that same reverse curve: I only have one (AT102W), and it's at work on a spare desk, so I rarely see the side view of it. (I wanted a nice side view photo for the wiki, but I didn't find one suitable.)

As you were!

Sometimes a banana is just a banana
Other times it's a keyboard

You're right there. The Bigfoot body is much hairier:
