Sprue marks on keyboard cases (not the keycaps)

I opened my new keyboard today and I discovered this unfortunate sprue mark while popping off some keycaps.
I know these are quite common in keycaps and the manufacturing process in general for plastics.
Is this an issue with every brand?
Does every board (with a plastic case) basically have a sprue marked tucked away somewhere (perhaps obscured by some keycaps) on the case itself?

Here's a quick potato of mine:

I wonder if this sprue mark is just a bit more obvious because of the white plastic material they used here^

Well, the plastic has to get into the mold somehow, and I think they chose a fairly inconspicuous place for it. It's not very visible with the key caps in place, is it? I looked at some of my boards and couldn't really find any sprue marks. Most of the modern ones are black, though. I looked at a few of my IBMs with white (pearl) cases and didn't find any sprue marks on them. I did find a little flashing though, not much. Which board is that in the picture?
