OK, let's have a show of hands of people who will hang-draw-quarter, stake-burn, eat-as-a-stake (with or without fava beans), disembowel, tar-and-feather, throw under a bus, feed to lions, drown, behead, and otherwise brutally mutilate me if I rename "Honeywell Hall Effect" to "Micro Switch hall effect"?

Considering that they were made by Micro Switch and all say "Micro" on them, it stands to reason to me that they should be named in accordance with the company that actually made them.

(Don't go for the train option — one of our Meridian high speed trains had to have its cab surround replaced after hitting a suicide case — I'm guessing the cab was made by wasps? That, or he killed the Iron Man.)

Micro Switch was already Honeywell when those switches were made?

So Micro Switch would be the brand not the company. This adds a third option. "Honeywell Micro Switch hall effect"
