Please suggest nominees for the Best ergonomic input device in 2012. You have to give a short motivation for each suggestion. It is not a requirement that the device was released in 2012. If you think a vintage device was the best, you can suggest it.

muTron, it has gotten a bunch of interest this year (few people, looking to buy one; I'll be in Japan next year for a few months if anyone is interested in one).

Have to include ErgoDox in this catagory.

How can the ergo dox be in it if it isn't finished or for sale?

I'm also going to go muTron. I don't own one but i rrreeeaaalllyyy want one.

I would totally put the ErgoDox in there, although it is not finished yet. But there are samples floating around, and some people already have a prototype...?

The Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. Aside from the obvious unfinished ErgoDox, for many users, especially in an office, this is the product that brings the most improvement... in my opinion this KB would be a fine Layout for a reboot with Topre switches and a Trackpoint.

Not used one but can't see how any of these can compete for egonomics with the datahand.

Nominating the alphagrip. Recently started playing around with mine again.

Doesn't the datahand have pretty much the same problem as the ErgoDox? It's finished, sure, but good luck trying to get one...

Kinesis Advantage - especially with the red mx conversion kit. Might not be the most ergonomical, might not be the cheapest, but it offers a lot of ergonomic improvement without a great deal of adaptation.

Cherry G80-5000. Really cool design, but then again I haven't tried many of the other ergonomic keyboards...

Is there some reason the Datahand has not been nominated so far? DATAHAND FTW!!

I would vote for G80-5000. I use it daily. But I think due its rarity, not many people have used it, it won't get enough vote.

Truly Ergonomic. I'm not really a fan, but it's an ergonomic mechanical keyboard released in 2012 (well end of 2011), so I think it should be in the first vote.
