Seems like a nice work. Page doesn't say anything about pricing right now but I think they said something months ago.

Looks like a perfect replacement for the overbranded CM QF case.

Lurking OTD I've seen that those feet and the placement of them looks familiar to some of their custom keyboards.

Alu keycaps too.

Vortex annoy me at the moment, because they show off all these awesome looking products, but none of them seem to be available yet :P

The alu caps intrigue me, wonder how they feel to type on

If the price for that case is not crazy, I'd sure like one. I guess it should be cheaper than the costum made ones made be Swede, anyway.

That case looks amazing. I hope it'll be not too pricey :)

Really beautifull!!! I think I will take two if the conclusion 'fits Filco TKL => fits Phantom' is correct...
What do you think?

I'm wondering if we ever get a tkl from unicomp if vortex would make a case for that...

They're issuing a group buy on Facebook for their 80% keyboard.
1. Only USB interface
2. NKRO - (USB any 6 key rollover)
3. PBT keycap - US ASCII Layout (QWERTY)
4. Sublimation Print
5. Aluminum case color : Gray(just like picture) , Black , Water Blue , Red

Price :
250 USD , that you can have Alu case & PBT sublimation keycap !!
Definitely not cheap, but with aluminium case and pbt dye subs it's not too shabby either.
However I'm only interested in the Filco case. If the full keyboard costs 250$, I guess the case alone will be around 100$...

Is there any other way of getting into the groupbuy? i don't want to create an account just for that matter.

I have to admit, although I do have an account and liked the page, I don't have any clue how to participate in the GB :/

The whole thing is still kind of confusing. There are no pictures of red ande blue cases, for an instance. Nor a clear deadline for the group buy itself, nor shipping rates... I think Vortex guys are kind of rushing things up because of the pressure they have from potential buyers. Or maybe this is some kind of pre-sale before they set up a proper distribution.

This.
Plus the ambiguous English they use...

So... two months have passed since the first pics and no other news have surfaced. Their facebook page seems dead and people are complaining about delays in the GH group buy. Anyone knows what's going on with Vortex?

They are called Vortex for a REASON!

People already complaining on their facebook page. I'm curious what excuse(s) they'll bring up...

Reds.

Damn, this Aluminum case is MUCH nicer than I expected.

Plus I really like how I now have two Orange Glow nuts on my keyboard.
