And I'm only #11 I'm told!

You do realise these space bars are SA profile, so will tower over lesser keys? Throw a few kits together, in various colours, and join the club…

Nooooooo, please, don't tempt me or I actually might! I've actually figured out exactly what sets I'd need, too (multiple times, actually), I just don't want to end up buying a whole load of keycaps for a project that I might not finish! But they're so pretty...

Ooh I want to know my rank! Is there a way I find this out? Besides the "You have wasted £10000000 on all my group buys, which ranks you at #1"

7bit just told me in the thread, shortly after I bet I "wasn't even in the top 10". Turns out I was right, by a whisker.

They also have solid resale value. I paid Matt good money for his precious, precious Round 4 SPH, and I'm still mightily happy with it. Getting literally every available combination of Round 5 colours gives me some room to downsize if I have clear favourites. Eventually. Theoretically.

That's part of my plan. I have a huge order but half of it is speculation. I've already gotten PMs to arrange for selling individual keys to people.

BY THE WAY:
If anyone wants a specific key from a kit, and I have it (and it's not claimed), PM me AFTER shipping is complete and I'll arrange something.

793.21 USD spent.

I think I have an addiction problem. An extremely large part of it is to enable all colour schemes on boards using 1.5x bottom row modifiers. I don't know how many poor souls spent more than me on this groupbuy though.

Don't feel ashamed because you did spend less than $1000.

Mostly I really hope I love my ErgoDox, because I like you I have ordered various color combinations for it, but unlike you I am probably missing keys for any normal keyboard. Except maybe a 60.

…Step 3: Profit?

This one seems to have gone pretty well. (Fingers crossed the manufacturing phase is as efficient.) Got to wonder what you're thinking of next.

PBT, right?

Rank 21 in this gropup buy.

Maybe I add this feature to the script ...

Well damnit. I ordered a couple more caps to get my outstanding amount over $10 and still no instructions on how to pay.

This was all just a rouse to get me to order more caps. I've been had!

Because the deadline for 100% payment was 3 days ago.

But I will not delete orders where just $25 are missing!

It does not matter with bank payments, but Paypal is a different story. So please don't pay until you get an invoice which says how to pay.

But... but... deadlines.

To be honest part of the reason I want to finish my payment is because I want to stop myself from ordering any more. I get that the prices will probably all change again though and then people would have to send you even smaller payments, wasting paypal fees or something.

Has everyone seen the CalmDepth photos from SP?

http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=482 ... msg1176482

Look at these steep row 1 function keys! That spherical ISO Return! And SHIF T is still SHIF T, like it's meant to be on a keyboard from before the first Apple Mac and before TeX was finished...

@7bit: will our triangle cursor keys have the same huge triangles?

And I thought our threads were hard to read! Are those SA profile? What are we missing?

User avatar
Halvar

03 Jan 2014, 15:19

Sure, they're SA profile, too, just finished production, and for me it's the first time that I've seen how extreme SA row 1 keys look. Maybe row 3 is really the better solution for the function row? OK, I know we should not restart this discussion...

Also, there are some interesting peculiarities with the legends. Not only the huge cursor key triangles, but also e.g. how narrow the word "WIN" seems to be printed in comparison to "CTRL" or "ALT".

Triangles seem larger than those in Round 4 and 5:

I will examine all legends we had and tell Melissa what to do. They use different font sizes and spacings. I know whay their concept is, but sometimes they use a small font when the bigger one would be right. I must make sure to force them to use only one style of font size except for the legends that do not fit, which need to be smaller.

The only solution to the SHIF T problem seems to make sure thet FT is a ligature (both touching each other).
