Well - In theory they have some thicker keycaps, the problem is that they are all extremely high profile and mostly spherical and look like they are straight from the 70s. I don't think they would be much fun to type on... so that is pointless as well

Any chance of a 1.25 Shift_L (or a blank 1.25) and some blanks for each row in matching colour/profile?
btw :
I think those purple doubleshots you all seem to like are from Signature's DSA-family...
So it would look something like this ? I think that would be awesome, but then, I also miss the Selectric ...Well - In theory they have some thicker keycaps, the problem is that they are all extremely high profile and mostly spherical and look like they are straight from the 70s. Shift key probably not. Blank keys might happen later.Peter wrote: Any chance of a 1.25 Shift_L (or a blank 1.25) and some blanks for each row in matching colour/profile?
Nope - Don't think so. I have a few DSA keycaps from SP here, they are just as thin as these... well a tiny bit thicker, but not as thick as your cool keycaps.Peter wrote: I think those purple doubleshots you all seem to like are from Signature's DSA-family...

A bit thicker, but not as thick.

You're right, just had a look at the insert and it looks very
different to all the other Signature-caps I have ..
The ones I have look like 1 cap inside the other

not really, the Filco keycaps have nearly identical thicknesses, but they've got a cross reinforcement bone in them, so they're structurally a bit more rigid than the SP ones.xbb wrote:The Filco standard keycaps are thinner?

Just read the updated information; I am still in for a set.
Definitely more appealing to me than GH RD 3.

Also to differ a bit from the previous sets we are going to have some unique "features".
There are going to be "nipples" on the F and J keys instead of the usual homing bar. Think of Compaq 11800 or old terminal WYSE boards. This is the type of homerow indicator we are going for. We will also probably have LED "window/hole" keys for Scroll Lock and Capslock. Since these will be very expensive (two shot moding + pad printing) they will be offered as an option and not be included in the base set.

With nubile nubs you might have ripster interested now.
I checked the color schemes again and then noticed that my monitors are calibrated too warmly, since the pure grey modifiers in image #3 are a bit creamy. I'm wonder why no one likes the Milky scheme

I'd only go in for a Signature Plastic key buy if they did the thicker style.
They don't sit up THAT high - they keep whining about tooling costs though. I'm a bit suspicious and suspect they HAVE done some for other OEMs.

I know it is listed as a 87 key per set group buy.
But somehow I ended up with a Filco 104 Red instead of my expected tenkeyless.
Any chance we can get a 104 keys as an option? Or is that not a possibility?
