Hmm, so how hard it is to swap these in Steelseries 6G? I got a spare board with blacks...

Steelseries 6G is plate-mounted, right? If so then you will need to desolder the switches to swap.

I might be interested (mainly clears and blues) but I would also need plate-mounted stabilisers. Any idea where to get them? Are they available via the Phantom order?

Yes and no.

You can order them, but we don't have a definite source for them (especially the one for 6.25 units space bars).

Need a new dump from 7bit to see where we are at for switches. Last I heard from 7bit, clears and reds are over 1,000 so we are good with ordering those from 7bit's supplier. Other colors will be ordered from mouser, if we include time in the group buy, due to low order quantity.

I pass on this one, I can get full board for 79€ here...

That remains an interesting price for individual switches, and avoids all the desoldering work.
Too bad this is for plate mounted and not PCB mounted, otherwise I might have been interested. But I guess it remains cheaper to buy G80-3000s for these, especially to german people.

Is is possible to buy just the springs for the red switches (obviously at a much lower cost)? I've got a few MX black boards coming my way and it would be nice to be able to convert one or two of them to "ghetto" red.

Yes, buy the spring and the switch top, switch bottom, and the stem come for free, at the same price as a regular switch. :-)

Yeah, I guess there's always that option. But joking aside, I think they're just too expensive. I might buy a few of each just to see what they feel like, but $0.60 per switch is too much if you're buying them in bulk.

And furthermore, the keyboards I'd be fitting them to cost only 5€ each!

These are only a bit less than 0.4 EUR per switch!

You can't. You have to desolder to change a switch on a plate-mounted keyboard.

Almost completely correct. You need to PM 'Phantom', not 7bit. This is covered on the second line if 7bit's original post. This is part of the Phantom group buy.

And welcome!
