Chinese IBM keyboard proxy - In the post to you.

I've been talking to the guy I bought mine off because I know there is more intrest.

I can get 10 more for $50 each shipped to me. If people are intrested I can either run a groupbuy or pass on the info. I will want another one and until told otherwise I would be holding one for webwit and ascaii as well (shown intrest when I bought mine), so that would leave 7 left. This price does NOT include postage to you or import tax that needs to be paid. It's just the price from him to me. We are going to be looking at another 80gbp for import tax and handling charges (should be a little bit less).

All in all we are looking at around 40gbp plus shipping each. This is my first quote, I can try and get him down on his price but I don't know how much lower I could get him. It looks like he is charging $250 for shipping though!

1. Me PAID
2. webwit PAID
3. Ascaii PAID
4. 7bit PAID
5. pasph PAID
6. half-saint PAID
7. fruktstund (JP if possible) PAID
8. Another for 7bit (JP if possible) PAID
9. 002 (JP if possible) PAID
10. Kurrk (JP if possible) PAID

OK update, I've got the 10 needed. It will be paid in three parts as mentioned in my post on page 2. If anybody can't do it in 3 parts for some reason, pm me and I will see what we can work out. The 3 parts are keyboards and postage to me, import tax, shipping to you.

The first part is $50 each for the keyboards and shipping to me. You need to cover all paypal fees as I'm not making a single penny on this. If you don't cover your paypal fees you will not be marked as paid until you have and it will hold up the order. I will accept gifts. Please pay to paypal@fossala.com please include info about you username on here. Don't bother about your address, I will sort that out with the last payment so I'm not hunting around for them later.

If non of this makes sense please just say so.

If it's SSK's I'm definitely in for one! I'd love one with an industrial shell, but it's really not important for me.

Guys, y u no read first?

Very interesting IBM keyboard. What are those switches? They dont seem to be Buckling Springs. I love the spherical keycaps. Would they fit Cherry Switches? Dont think so. If they would fit a normal Model M I would be interested.

Someone recommended I talk to you about getting a SSK with Industrial Shell.

No they don't fit cherry or regular model M. They are vintage green alps, linear and light. The best linear switch I have tried.

That's a lovely looking keyboard fossala! As temping and as good looking as it is, I think I'll pass, I haven't really got a use for it!

Ah, now I understand that "Chinese" in the topic. Sorry fossala. I'll blame 7bit for confusing me. :)

fossala, if I recall correctly the one haata got (I think it was haata at least) had a Japanese layout. I was wondering if there's any chance to find one of those from the same seller, or are these strictly Chinese layout keyboards?

in the other thread is a statement that this board has no BS switches. What switchtyp has the board?
Or i misunderstand something and somebody could clear my mind.

Frutstund, I don't know I think he only has chinese ones. They look better than the jp ones anyway, unless you where going to type in any of them languages it wouldn't make a difference.

CeeSa, No it has old school green linear alps.

I got Japanese (I think?!) from him, he clearly has (or had) a mix. I guess he opened one and assumed they were all the same. Part number on my box, and keyboard, is 6112884 (unlike HaaTa's which was 5954339).

Personally, I think the JP ones look better, but I may be biased too (since I like Japanese). ;)

Could you check with the guy if he has any JP ones? Might be in for a Chinese one otherwise, but I'd have to consider that carefully. For me a Japanese layout keyboard is worth quite a bit more, even though they only differ in keycap legends.
