The bad news is that Signature Plastics used absolutely random molds and kinda messed up the order a bit. We have legends randomly aligned shifting to the center, not fully centered but almost.... and then we have the random bold shift legend for the left key, while the right one is normal.
...
Seems they have experimented a bit with the boldness of the font to find out how to make the keys for the MOOGLE kit.
Sorry.

Nope. Actually they fucked up the geekhack keys the same. If you look at the shifts, it has been like this previously on some keys. To quote Melissa:
Your keycaps should not have left
the facility like this, though we do sell these exact same legends to other
customers and have surprisingly not hear any complaints.

What's the story on the "star" key? I saw that key on the older model Cherry - what does it do?

hahaha - of course the Geekhack keys kerning problem never got fixed either in 6 rounds. Gotta COMPLAIN!
AND even aligned the fonts at Signature Plastics are butt ugly.
Especially compared to original Cherry Corp Doubleshots

Yes, but you have to remember, selling expensive little plastic things is not their core business.
Wait..

Also I think their website says, "The Customer IS Always Right (except for font and kerning and alignment)".
Their Novelty Keys however are awesome.

Holy smokes! Where was the group buy thread for these?
Please sign me up for a set if available?
Or perhaps the next round?

Will I be severely disappointed once I get my geekhack group buy 3 key caps? The alignment is shit.

We'll find out in a month. Or two. Or three.
What's the Cherry Corp Star key for? A German secret organization? We have those.

I bet it has got something to do with the pointer movement. maybe you could adjust mouse speed through that key.
BTW: One month to go!
Or say one month and a week at most.
May be two ...

These are Cherry sublimation keys from a NCR board. They are some brownish hue of black. Not my favorite.

I would have liked it with a "standard" RGB setup like the
IBM RGB keycaps. I love the white on red, green and blue, but the yellow keys make it too much and the white on yellow doesn't work as well as the other colors either.

Its all there! The yellow keys are just a bonus. You actually receive:
2x Red CTRL
2x Blue ALT
2x Yellow CTRL
2x Yellow Special Key
2x Green Shift

Invoices going out tomorrow. This will also determine how many sets will be left over. So if you missed out, your chance is now coming tomorrow, if anyone jumps out.
