Cleaned Blue Alps switches, keyboards and switches from my collection
Posted: 14 Sep 2019, 17:49
Hello,
I decided to sell some pieces of my collection before it gets completely out of control
I am potentially interested in trading for an IBM F107. If any of you has one for trade, let me know. Thanks.
Fully cleaned/restored SKCM Blue Alps switches
I've been collecting these for few years now and am especially proud of them. All switches have been completely disassembled, the switch tops, switch bottoms and sliders cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner and then reassembled. They are as clean as they can possibly get and a lot of work went into that.
Although I did my best when comparing the key feel between different switches, please take my switch ratings with a grain of salt. I can only compare the switches between what I have and it is still my subjective opinion.
1. [x101] Blue Alps harvested from an Ortek MCK-101 [8/10] - [$210]
2. [x102] Blue Alps harvested from an Acer KB-102A [7/10] - [$185]
Slightly discolored/faded sliders, it doesn't affect the key feel.
3. [x83] Blue Alps harvested from a Leading Edge DC-2014 [8,5/10] - [$180]
Grey switchplate, my best set.
4. [x102] Blue Alps harvested from a Focus FK-2001 [8/10] - [$200]
5. [x102] Blue Alps harvested from a Focus FK-2001 [8/10] - [$200]

Other switches
1. [x202] Futaba MA with MX mount - [$65]
Slightly dirty, but because they are sealed switches, it doesn't affect the key feel.

2. [x101] Omron B3G-S Amber - [$65]
Very clean, fantastic condition.

3. [x101]Unknown clicky Alps clone (grey slider) - [$35]
Very clean, great condition.

Keyboards
1. Fully restored IBM PC Model F XT, german layout - [$140]
Every part of this keyboard has been cleaned/washed, including the pcb and the barrel plate. I took apart the entire switch assembly and replaced the original foam too. It feels very fresh, IBM badge still has the original protective foil. In fully working condition. Tested with a Soarer’s Converter.

2. Fully restored Zenith Data Systems Z-150 XT with Green Alps, german/US layout (double dye sub) - [$120]
All plastic parts have been cleaned/washed. I took the switches apart without desoldering them. Their switch tops and sliders have been washed with an ultrasonic cleaner. Switch bottoms and switch plates have been cleaned using compressed air. In fully working condition. Tested with a Soarer’s Converter. I would rate the switches for 7,5/10.

3. Cleaned Chicony KB-5591 with a Trackball and SMK Monterey Blue switches - [$85]
The entire case and cable have been washed. I haven't opened the switches. The case is slightly yellowed in some places. In working condition. I tested the keyboard portion with a Soarer’s Converter, couldn't test the trackball because I have no access to a pc with a serial port. Monterey Blues are very nice switches indeed and the best part of this board. Selling with an original box and factory driver floppy disk.

4. NOS! Tesla "Zbrojovka Brno" 262.3 keyboard with Tesla Hall effect switches (linear), cyrillic - [$85]
It uses a very strange connector. A converter for this board apparently exists but I have never researched the topic. A nice piece for a collector of soviet artifacts Produced in communist Czechoslovakia. Switches are very smooth.
