I want to see some photos of everyone's vintage laptops. Post!

Here's an old PC Convertible (broken) that I got for $25 or so a few years ago.


I've ripped the ALPS based board out and it's sitting on my 'to do' list to convert to USB but I need someones (hopefully HaaTa's) help with that.

I really like these ?brown? ALPS switches so if anyone knows of other boards that have them I'd be interested to know what they are

How do those Alps feel? Clicky, tactile, linear? Never seen brown Alps before.

They are tactile (very) and non-clicky.

There are some of these on ebay.com, would be nice if you could check if they're the same model as yours and post them under great finds.

Almost forgot this one, a Chicony you would hardly call a "laptop":







White clicky Alps switches (except "Turbo", which has a yellow latching switch), most keycaps (but curiously not all) doubleshots.

Panasonic CF25 Toughbook and Tandy WP-3. I still use both of them occasionally.

Hmm, one of the original Thinkpads (not the first, but still ancient, 755Cs).

Served me well. . Gotta like those semi-transparent keycaps, and HUGE screens by today's puny standards.

I don't own this one (mostly because it was too heavy to carry home on my bike...).

Has Futaba switches.

Pah... it ain't got a Model F in it. Not strictly a laptop, but it's luggable.
