Do you mean the switches on the side of the g80-5000?
They also exist in the G80-2100, G81-8308. I have it
I also have a very light switch, where its stem is very thin and pointy
I think that it is some sort of support switch for big keys
Those ancient switches that you are showing, I think they are Cherry M7 Switches
I came across the manual for some Cherry made switches
However, since I don't know any English, I don't understand what the manuals are saying, but I am guessing that these are the manuals for those ancient switches.

Comparing the manual and your picture, I think that it may be the Cherry M7 switch
However, I do not have the phyiscal switch, and I do hope I can put my hands on it.
Apart from this, I also have manuals for Cherry M8 and M84 switches

No, but some time ago there where sold in quite large quantites at ebay for cheap.
The box I got had the old post code from before 1993.
Here are still some available:

I'm going to assume that's a yes. Ideally these pics should ALL be leached automatically into the DT Wiki where we could pick an choose what to use. Good job for a Deskthority.net administrator. Busy Moderators are Happy Moderators.
Also bumping to remind me to take those spring comparison pics.
BroDragon makes me so mad. Competing with me for #1 and all.

Four types of blues (but I can't see the difference between the middle two) and cherry's alps compatibles..
How do the latter feel when compared with normal mxBlue/mxBlack/Alps?
