I'm not a gamer. I don't even NEED the 2 extra. Just think it looks good.

eh, even non-gamers know how to use buttons
for instance, can't live without forward/backward on my mouse; nor middlemousebutton, nor scroll; there's bound to be more that are unmissable once in your system (but don't have more buttons a.t.m. so I'm safe).
also, how would you say handpolished stained wood looks good?

I have scroll and middle. Foward and back is what they are going to do.

Back on topic, how does the awesomewood feel? Does it actually alleviate stress being a hardrest (and allow you to type all day without slight pains etc)?

I don't use wrist rest while typing, just while I'm thinking. And most days I don't use it that much as I'm at work. I got it because it is awesome.

This setup deserves a better environment Like a glass table and some tidy work

Topre deserves cask strength. 60% board for light and hints of citrus. Full board you're looking at something peaty so yeah the 12 year fits well

Gotta say that it looks kina stupid with modern boards on a wristrest that looks steampunk. It just doesn't.... fit.
