There has been no small ISO keyboards up until recently. Now this, GH60, Hyper and Filco's new small one which will probably come in ISO too, although I haven't seen one yet. All at the same time.

It's nice but GH60 is going to be an option soon.

dirge: is that a GH60? It looks hella sweet in any case. I tried to research, and it looks like GH60 isn't quite done yet... that may be a getter when it's done!

I'm looking forward to the day when 7bit finally stops this bottom row wasting nonsense.

You need to change those switches to clears, set up a fn layer to my preference and sell that board to me ;)

The Greek Super Hyper Bacon Unicorn will SAVE US ALL!

That 7bit layout has a slight symmetry problem with the left arrow key, but I think I can solve that by making the space bar a little shorter.

I want bacon and unicorn caps. Webwit, start the grou buy.

I'd be careful with those. You may never ever press the Unicorn and Bacon keys at the same time. The space-time continuum may collapse in on itself.

Oh wow. I want that. Too late though I imagine for the Cherry on the top of putting "Caps Lock" instead of "CapsLock" ;-)

I guessed that there would be an ISO. If there is even JIS, then surely a European ISO will also come. I kind of like the number of keys in JIS though, as long as it would be programmable.

Wait, that one adds one key to the left of the spacebar but removes one key to the right of left shift? Why?

Posted: 14 Feb 2013, 14:14
by phetto
idk, but its a real challenge finding keycaps for that board.

It just occured to by, that beside the non standard layout, the staggering of the keys isn't standard either. The displacement of the three main rows is the same, while generally you have a bigger displacement between home row and bottomm row, than between home and top row.

by sordna
Sure, but this illustrates how ridiculous the standard stagger is. This keyboard here, as well as the HHKB JP have a better stagger than the standard :)
