Could be Stackpole, Keytronic foam and foil, ITW magnetic valve, vintage Alps, or hall effect. Who knows! I've asked for a key switch photo.

It is in Canada so maybe mr_a500 can tell us.
Judging by the date code looking like 1991, and the seller mentioning putting it into storage only 15 years ago, I can't imagine its anything too incredible. Might be worth keeping an eye on though!

Turns out this was Micro Switch Hall Effect. It is headed my way. :evilgeek:

After years of searching for keyboards with these switches they seem to be coming out of the woodwork now. :o

At some point I will have a few to sell, and, they will all work over USB. ;)

What are the hall effect switches like? Are they linear or tactile? :?:

yes doubleshots. Look at my pics at the end. Top row is Micro Switch. That's the mother of round 5.

All of the Micro Switch Hall effect keyboards that I have are linear with extremely thick doubleshot keys. The only Hall effect keyboards I have at the moment are Micro Switch keyboards.

These are the photos that the seller provided:

burroughs_hall_02.JPG
burroughs_hall_02.JPG (34.25 KiB) Viewed 6176 times
They have code 4A3E which means:
4 - Black stem
A - Straight stem
3 - Normal (78g)
E - 3 pins, 1 sense line

The keyboard is a Burroughs TP119. This is similar to the Burroughs TP110 presumably.

(I really need to set up a nice Web site cataloging my collection efforts, or maybe post them all in the Wiki and use a personal page to index the keyboards that have come my way.)

yeah I know what you mean. I feel a little guilty not doing so.

yup that's it Redmaus. THE nicest keycaps I own! 8-) The bottom two rows are Fujitsu though. Not quite as nice, but still super thick.

Highscreen, and I guess it's a G81-3000 SPD (dye sublimated)

Definitely dyesubs. The text is a little bit misaligned.

I don't see shine from a metal backplate. Are you sure it's a G81? And are you sure it's dyesubbed? The legends look a little off-center to me so it might be, but it's not conclusive evidence...

Edit: Sniped by photekq!

Here's your conclusive evidence! I've never seen a doubleshot Strg like this..

Have you ever seen a Highscreen G80?

I'm still not 100% sure about dye-sub because of the obviously exagerated contrast of the picture.

That kind of tipro ?

http://www.leboncoin.fr/vi/789114772.htm

The behemoth ones specifically. I am woefully uneducated about Tipros and don't have a model number or anything. I quite like the ones that have the staggered central unit tho and the larger side modules.

p.s. sorry for the late response, this thread got buried on me.

I have a few cherry switch behemoth boards you might like
https://www.dropbox.com/s/0z5egd9z0oyiu ... 1.jpg?dl=0
https://www.dropbox.com/s/lmkramezb47r6 ... 2.jpg?dl=0
https://www.dropbox.com/s/b4pm6up2pgcev ... d.jpg?dl=0

They are not ps2 or at compatible and would need a controller swap or break-out box to work.

Ascaii always drops in on threads and drops bombs on me. Do you have a link to more info about them?

Edit: the behemoth Tipro's are the ones that look like mission control for lack of a better term. (Sorry I'm on mobile atm)

Ive got no further info on them, they were boards used with an old quantel video editing system. Made by Access, the UK equivalent to Tipro.

Small RJ style connector, im glad to send you more pics of them if you are interested. They take up space, i kinda want em gone :P

tempting

the problem is the keyboard section is at the top not the bottom so not very useful

if there was a GB going for them i would go for one , but if i was going to buy them all myself i would want to pay no more than 20
