I am hoping that if anyone would appreciate this work it would be DT. This kind of stuff tends to just get lost in reddit.
I bought a M0110A for 50$ on eBay that looked in great condition and didn't need retrobrite. I found later 3 switches were broken and it was filled with junk and rusted.

The bed liner on the plate is a very good idea, it should be a very durable finish.

Indeed, I think I'll do it again on another project I'm working on.
Only problem is it smells, I should have left it outside and rinsed it off. I mean you have to get your nose right in there to smell it but it's there. Tar and spray paint

My nose doesn't really work hardly at all, so that's not something I would have noticed until someone complained about it lol. I'm glad you mentioned it.

Good desoldering skills there with just a soldering iron and solder sucker.

Luckily this old stuff does well with 325, no issues or damage, didnt have to use my monster soldapullt either, just $2 throw away.
