Please suggest nominees for the Best regular keyboard or keyboard family in 2014. Only full size keyboards. You have to give a short motivation for each suggestion. The keyboard must be released since November 2013.

By voting in the third round of this category, you can win a Matias of your choice from The Keyboard Company!

In this round you can earn multiple entries in the draws for voter prizes: if you are the first to suggest a particular nominee and the suggestion gets at least 5 votes in round 2, you get an extra entry in the draw for the prize by the sponsor of the related category. If your suggestion is voted as an official nominee and makes it to round 3, you get another extra entry.

The first round ends on Thursday 27 November, 00:00hrs UTC.

Current suggestions (this list is frequently updated):
  • Logitech G910 Orion Spark RGB
  • KFC board
  • Ducky Shine 4
  • Das Keyboard v4
  • Bloody B640 and B641
  • Ducky Premier keyboard
  • Ducky Legend
  • Corsair K70 RGB and K95 RGB

I can't believe I'm going to nominee Logitech.... but the Logitech G910 Orion Spark RGB probably deserves this award, for the innovative switch.

There were full size keyboards this year?

May not be of much interest to many of us, but many of us do know what makes a good, quality keyboard.

Laymen may bump into these Awards later, searching for good keyboards, and they need our expert advice! Nominate now!

Isn't the Cherry 60 years keyboard 2013?

I nominate the KFC board, since it’s the only full-size 2014 keyboard I can think of. Also, fried chicken is delicious:

Is Das Keyboard v4 from 2014? I guess the Razer Blackwidow 2014 is.

In that case I have to disqualify it.

Is this talk or nominations? Before nominating, please research the release date.

I'll officially nominate the Das Keyboard v4 for being a new non-Kailh-based keyboard, and the Bloody B640 and B641 (same nomination, released somewhere around July or August) for using optical-sensing variants of a linear MX clone.

Because we need enough nominations to prevent the KFC board or the BlackWidow 2014 (in case someone actually nominates it) from making it to the third round. That's right, I'll nominate an MX board and a MX-clone-variant board.

I nominate the Ducky Premier keyboard. For the very nice thick PBT dyesub keycaps, the lack of backlighting (except on WASD...) and the dip switch selectable dvorak/colemak layouts. But also because KFC.

I'm going to nominate the KBP V60.

It brings the simplicity of the KBT Pure with 2 color backlighting, a great selection of switches, consistent availability, and competitive pricing.

Wrong thread. Post that one over here: http://deskthority.net/call-for-nominee ... t9193.html

(It's a 60%, not a full layout.)

Edit: I should note that this was only in reply to the V60. Looks like the Ducky Premier nomination is valid: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=52994.0 (and it did launch).

Holy crap, I forgot these came out in 2014...

Corsair K70 RGB and K95 RGB, for being the first application of the MX RGB.

Launched in June: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/company/pr ... -keyboards

If the K95's macro keys push it out of being a regular keyboard, then make the K70 the nominee.
