If I had 2k I would buy this in a heartbeat. If anyone wants the only keyboard to be rated as "nuclear proof", here's your chance.

I may actually try and sell my whole keyboard collection to just get my hand on one of these

Ebay calculates shipping at $377 to my location and that is not even all the way across the US from the West Coast. Across the pond from Oregon it would have to be a lot more.
It mentions "flexible disk" and there appears to be an oblong door on the left side with dual latch levers that would probably accommodate a 5-1/4" floppy. Do you think that's it?

I thought that at first, but if you look at the brochure it states that it is for map overlays:

My best guess is there is some kind of port to the right side as there are no available images, but that's just a guess.

I have sent a message to the seller to see what can be done with shipping. I doubt I will be able to get hold of the item but this would be my magnum opus if its viable

I thought this was interesting. A TEMPEST AEK M0115. Might be hard to open up the switches with a metal plate over them:

There’s also dampers on the key caps. I bet the sound and feel is much different. Too pricey for me to find out. Listing:

Reuters AK123 KT / 10-11-0308. Seller's asking price is a pipe dream but beautiful board - very modern considering the era. couldn't find any info on switches but it's close relatives (AK125, etc) all seem to be Cherry Brown.

Certainly not Cherry switches of any kind - the LEDs wouldn't be in a corner of the keys.

A quick follow up:
I've asked the seller for some detailed pictures and this is what he sent me:

- So the case is all metal, must be a heavy beast...
- Switches are some variant of Licon Magnetic Pulse (check this for reference) or another unknown Licon switch
- Keycaps are most likely a mix of doubleshots and infilled caps

And the layout would be not too terrible on a modern system ...

I noticed this green alps terminal board with an interesting nav cluster:

Not sure how that works but I doubt it actuates the green alps like a normal button. I'm guessing it moves sensors like a mouse ball.

That green Alps board looks cool. The connector doesn't. It's currently at $139.99, so it's not at a bad price for any green Alps KB.
I'd love to take a shot at it, but I'm trying to save for another purchase.

Same. My project backlog doesn't leave much for anything new. What are saving up for?

3D printerer, bayby!
Because I'm not spending enough on buying keyboards, I need another hobby to fund.

The seller is speculating that it’s an apple one prototype keyboard. Even if it were true, I don’t think the value would be that high and I think you would need some solid facts backing up the claim.

Found an interesting looking Wang while browsering one of the local buy and sell sites.

It's a Wang 2336 apparently, can't seem to find much information other than that, quite a good looking Wang though.
Anyone around got any idea what switches it might have?

I want to say it's either foam and foil or microswitch SD, as I've seen a Wang terminal with the same keycap style have microswitch SD.

The prices for DC-3014s
are getting insane. A few years ago you could get a NOS one in that price range.

A few years ago a nice DC-3014 sold on ebay for $65. I was the second highest bidder, and I stopped bidding at that point because it was already over my $50 limit.
