Yeah? Well I've got frickin' nukes in my back yard. No idea what they're doing there. No one here remembers asking for them. Says made in USA on the nosecone though. Maybe I should write to my congressman…
Speaking of which. Oh Santa, where are you?

OK, since Redmaus did not answer my pm and does not post here since 30 Oct 2015, I think the Secret Santa 2015 will happen without Redmaus.
If nobody disagrees, I kick the bot ...

Maybe give him another day. I know he has been busy with school. But, with no responses in over a week, I think this is fair. Sorry Redmaus.

Yup. If he's not reading PMs, he's too busy to select and send a gift either.

Sorry Redmaus.
Given that you live within driving distance of myself and elecplus maybe we'll work something out.

Just got an e-mail from the bot.

me too, but shouldn't we get the username of the guy as well ? I need to get intimate with his needs and wants.

Agreed, we should know the recipient's username so we can select a nice gift for them.
Edit: I'm moving at the start of December, so my address is set to something to that effect. When I get the new address, can you send an update 7bit?
Posted: 08 Nov 2015, 23:40
by 7bit
Yes, but you must let me know that I should generate a new e-mail.
So, the usernames should be included?
I had them included during testing, but thought it is more a surprise if they are not visible. If you want the username, all I need to do is kicking the bot again ...

Yes, I did, but I'm afraid your e-mail address is not valid.
However, I'm not sure what happened to seebart's e-mail.

I just got an email with an address. What the... First I don't make the list, then I'm in a week later?
I have already sulked for a week for not being let in. Please let me remain outside.

I had already got used to not being in. Please... remove me!
7bit wrote: @Findecanor: You are in!
Looks like you're in!
I'd also like to know the username of the giftee for above mentioned reasons.

I got the mail, but maybe a conversion from Unicode -> ASCII took place? There are odd characters in it...

I thought you want to participate.
There is a little bit of a problem now.

I'd stand in, unless XMIT or somebody else wants to or if you find a better solution.

OK, I solved the problem:
Code: Select all
if($str =~ /Findecanor/) { next; }
I must send new emails, because I don't know which is the one that needs to be re-submit.

Huh? Findecanor obviously is around to forward the giftees name, and whoever got Findecanor only has to contact you to receive a new handle and address.

Whoever got me as recipient, PM me and I'll give him the address I got.

OK, I changed the script but did not save it and was too lazy to test it before sending the e-mails ...
Another e-mail, now for real.

...and 7bit comes through with a fix. Unless European languages are *supposed* to contain LaTeX escape chars. You guys do have a lot of weird diacritcs.
