There you go folks, a review of this Alps tank. Professor Plum with the NTC KB-6151 in the library, anyone?
Also, next week I'll be going on holiday for a while, so I won't be able to make any reviews for about a month. When I get back, I'll show you something clicky and fun

I can confirm the great build quality of this keyboard. Good work Professor Plum!

Cheers mate! And cool, so you have the blue Alps version then! I wonder what they sound like in a metal chassis ^^ . And you say the feet on yours are metal? Mine are plastic - must've been cost-cut at some point.

To be honest it's been some time since I looked at that keyboard. I'll have to check about those feet. Then I can do a little sound recording too. If I recall the blue Alps sounded damn fine in that NTC case.

Clicky, fun and industrial no doubt...
This was a good one, a bit of an improvement from the Amstrad

Alright Professor Plum a week later than I said here you go...my videos generally suck by the way.
At your request I got mine up and running, I had forgotten what a massive keyboard it is and how lousy the keycaps are which I can pull with my bare hands! But bottom line is these blue Alps feel and sound great in this sturdy case. This is one of the very few keyboards where big ass enter is so much fun.

Like music to my ears

. Sounds very typewriter-like in that case.
Bit surprised you can pull the caps with your fingers though. They're Tai-Hai Alps mount, shouldn't be shabby quality Oo .

Actually I can only pull the ESC cap with my fingers. The mic quality of my nexus 5 is not really that good, but you get a good impression I guess. The metal backplate is the gold lining in this one. Mine still got the AT/XT sticker. The flip feet are some of the sturdiest I have seen. I paid all of one Euro for this Alps tank. One Euro well spent.
