I can't be the only one that instantly fell in love with this color scheme.

Anyone familiar with this board? Thick PBT keycaps, Cherry blue, brown, or red. It's apparently a rebranded Ducky. Currently $120 with free shipping from mechanicalkeyboards.com.

Any opinions?

No you're not the only one. I fell in love with a more infamous variation from history: Space Cadet.

Yep, you're right - I knew I'd seen that pattern somewhere! :)

It is a nice colour scheme.

I have some very similar grey caps but not the blue.

I haven't been much of a big keycap nerd (yet?), but have to say that when I see some interesting key color combinations pop up on Massdrop, I regret not having a standard-layout Cherry board to put them on. I need another keyboard like I need a hole in the head, but I'm having troubles trying to resist this one. I think I'm going to have to quit looking at it until after Christmas to see if I feel the same way about it.

Although... the only PBT keycaps I've experienced are from an AEK II (now on a Dell AT101W) and my Realforce. To use them on a Cherry (blue) would be a new experience for me.

See? Talking myself into it. This damn hobby is more like a disease! :D

It looks almost exactly like my first mech in recent years, the Ducky Shine 2 to which I added Ducky's blue/grey PBT-caps. Though mine were of the rather weird etched variety rather than the arguably prettier dye subbed ones.

You have good taste!

You're too kind!

The stuff on MD can sometimes be quite enticing, but the fact that I, like you, don't own a standard layout Cherry-keyboard has saved me a bit of money.

I do tend to pile up on keycaps I don't need though. So, despite needing a new keyboard about as much as most people on here, I actually need a Cherry keyboard to use as a display case.

Considering that the Realforce didn't originally have a PBT space bar because of distortion/warping that can occur with that material, I figured that maybe this thing had an ABS space bar too; however I just got a response from the GM of MK and it is indeed PBT.

Here's my Filco with Round 4 SPH on it (along with a red Esc key cribbed from PuLSE). This will one day be replaced with a white Varmilo with Round 5a Space Cadet, but I just love the blue and gray colorway, especially with white double-shot legends. So tasty.

I only have MX-equipped keyboards because for me, keyboards are merely vessels to hold beautiful SP keycaps. Maybe some day CM will produce a full ANSI 104 version of the NovaTouch with properly silenced sliders, but until then I'm an MX red switch devotee and an SP spherical keycap junkie.
