Vortex PBT Doubleshot keycaps "sticking"?

Hey folks;

So I just received my MechanicalKeyboards.com Disco (Basically a Ducky Shine 5 TKL), and put on my Vortex PBT Doulbeshot backlit keycaps. They feel amazing, except for the fact that there are several keys that are "sticking". Most notably, the "r".

I'm not sure if "sticking" is the right word, but I took a quick video:
This is only happening when I press the lower section of the keycap, which, on the top row, I find I do habitually. Pressing directly into the center, I don't have that issue. Additionally, with the ABS keycaps that came on the board, they feel normal. I also tried some of the clear caps that came on my cherry MX tester from WASD.. no issues there, either. Definitely something wrong with the Vortex, but only a few.

Any suggestions on where I can shave down the keycap to fix this problem? I just don't know the mechanics well enough.

Thanks!

Vortex is known for bad quality control. I think that the circular "stem" of the keycap, or the area around the + shaped cavity, is too wide. It's likely catching on the edge of the keyswitch.

If you don't get what I'm saying I can post photos.

Nope, I totally get it. I reached that conclusion after my initial post, so I bought a metal file on Amazon to see if I can fix it.

Thanks for the confirmation!

Just as a quick update to anyone else with this issue:

I ran off to Home Depot and got some 220-grit sandpaper that emphasized flexibility, cut off a small square, and went to work twisting back and forth on the stem. Took some finger grease, but it took care of the problem.

Of course, I wish I didn't have it in the first place, but... oh well.
