Does anyone know the size of the Logitech M570 trackball? Have you found any places that offer cool/interesting alternatives?

Or if anyone knows a good paint that will still allow for functional trackball usage, I'd be interested in purchasing an additional trackball and posting the results.

Too bad you are not registered at
the site that must not be mentioned. There is a wiki for that.

Durr. I am stupid. How quickly did you find out who manufactures them? I am new to this community so I haven't gotten to know a lot of the key players in the industry.

Thanks for your mail. Unfortunately we do not sell replacement balls and are not authorized to sell Logitech balls ourselves to other companies or individuals.

Geekhack has this spam filter thing, I can't make an account... I emailed them but haven't heard anything back. Is that what you are referring to?

Ah, I see.
Sorry, I thought you just were boycotting Geekhack. Many Europeans do.
It's just extra work for me to post images here. Hotlinking to geekhack not allowed.

Europe is on a different timetable. They still haven't fixed the Greek thing.

I know I dug up an old thread. I just joined the forum yesterday. I read somewhere that the ball is 1.5" in diameter.
I used to be a rock and mineral nerd. Perhaps, some type of semiprecious gemstone sphere like this. Maybe a local rock and mineral club can custom grind something for you that will fit the Logitech M570. I have one of them sitting unopened.
