If you like mechanical switches but need something quiet, take a look at logitech's romer-g switches. The 810 board satisfies some of your requirements at least. And they'll likely put out a tenkeyless version of that later this year.

Opinions on razer's orange (mx brown clone) switches?

Looking for a keyboard for the office, and i'm sorta stupidly into boards with reactive lighting - because apparently i'm juvenile like that. The razer bw chrome TE looks like a reasonable TKL board, but they're using their new proprietary switches. Anyone have an opinion on these?

I have a choc mini - the only board that survived the move to Germany. Happy to take it on a field trip to cologne. Just let me know when

Yeah - this will probably result in some sort of frankenboard. I'll look into the ducky, or possibly some of the stuff i've seen on massdrop (just found out about that site yesterday), and then see about some side printed keys (i'd probably just stick with blanks, because i'm an egotist like that ...

I figured it was either the CM stealth or the filco ninja - i'll probably need to buy a cm stealth and do a keycap swap with something else. Thanks for confirming that i wasn't missing something.

Oh mighty keyboard oracle. I seek a keyboard with the following:

* Cherry Brown Switches
* DIP switches so I can turn caps lock into CTRL, for I am old school like that
* standard ANSI layout
* discrete function key row - none of this FN + # key business
* discrete arrow keys - no FN bollocks ...
