New post [Keyboards] Mysterious Honeywell Bull Keyboard (KBU 7104)
The keyboard honestly feels better than a lot of other mechanical keyboards I've tried, the springs do make it feel and sound a little weird, but it actually feels really good. I think it's because the springs are soft, still holding the key up, but not too resistant.

New post [Keyboards] New RT Mechanical Switches that actually feel & sound like real mechanicals (no compromises)
Hey mate, I can tell you’re a true connoisseur of the classics — I completely agree that the crisp metallic tactile feel of Blue Alps is legendary.
That said, RT mechanical switches are built to keep up with the times. Their purpose is to let the widely available MX-style switches enjoy the advanced

New post [Keyboards] Best vintage keyboard without spending life's savings?
I don't mind the noise, but interesting aside:
My wife's not a keyboard person; she does all her computer related stuff on her phone. But she actually thinks my F122 is quieter than my M122s, at least given that she is not in the room with me. Sound is a fascinating thing, including how it travels.

New post [Keyboards] Unicomp 122 Adventure:
I just wanted to mention a few things I've learned.
The first is that a the dremel press unit is very helpful, as it allows me to have the dremel steady and use my hands to move the assembly, rather than attempting to move the dremel. I have shaky hands, so it helps.
The second is that I find holding

New post [Keyboards] AEK II and some triggering of keys in same matrix.
Testing it some more, it seems like it would not type the X when pressing the other keys if I pressed really quickly, held it or didn't let the key fully reset (so release it and re-activating it without fully letting go of the key)
Just adding that detail in case it helps.

New post [Deskthority talk] How to fix the PM issue
DT often issues a "Forbidden" message.
As Muirium pointed out before in the thread "A Workaround for the Site's Permission Denied Errors", you can delete the &sid= part of URLs and then reload the page to circumvent this issue.
However, this does not work for PMs.

New post [Want to buy] [UK] [H] PayPal [W] Apple Extended Keyboard II numpad asterisk keycap
Hi all,
Looking for a single 1u numpad asterisk (*) keycap from an Apple Extended Keyboard II (M3501). Alps mount, obviously.
Happy to pay a fair price plus shipping to the UK. If you've got a dead AEK II with keycaps to spare or just some spares around, I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks.
