This quest began when I ordered a Model M terminal keyboard with an "RJ 45" connector.

I just got some parts to replace the insides of my old 122 key model M with new membranes. How on earth do the new controllers interface with the membranes?! I assume that the usb connector pins are labeled J21 or J17 on the printed circuit board controller as these ...
