yes it is. I bought one from the seller on geekhack without through ebay and it was cheaper than that. It is very nice and NIB. Very solidly built.

also regarding alps, you can mod them even if they are plate mounted, unlike the cherry. one fun board on the alps side is the Wang 724, keep an eye on them. I have removed the tactile leaf spring and installed heavier spring from AEK, it feels great. It is almost the same weight as IBM SSK and has ...

yes they are lasered, when new, the paint is white, when dirty/used, they turn yellow.

I think I have seen at some Korean KB site that they have made box especially for keyboard to be shipped. Normally it is quite difficult to find box that fit keyboard, they are either too big or too small.

i prefer the force gradation of Black over the lesser one of Red. And those gradation is all the feedback I need for feedback, so the tactile feedback of Clear, Brown and Blue, whether audible or not, is not really needed, indeed, they tend to slow things down.

I finally got hold some thick wyse double shot caps, to be used on the wyse board which originally only got the later thin caps. The thick DS caps were made in 1991 and the board was made in 1993.

if the 104 pro is a regular production model, then not before long i guess. they also need a nice green to complete the palette. i suppose it is good business for them too. maybe they might consider releasing mx dye sub caps too...

actually the shinning ones grip fingers better than the original matte surface. i feel it applies to both the biege and black ones. the original matte feels a bit slippery.

coarser one like those found on wyse feels the best.

does anyone know what type of sandpaper/polish wax to use, if i want to either sand my shinning/used double shot keys to 1) a matte surface, or 2) a shinning surface (without the scratches etc)?

more interested a metal shell for the 1800 line.

the grey looks like the colour they used in their 10th anniverary edition, i hope they will soon release this colour in their keypad replacement set.

by the way sixty, do you know why cherry does not use metal plate to mount their PCB? their G81 series use metal plate, but such a waste, since people just throw them away, you amongst them.
