Yes the non-stepped Caps Lock will be changed to the down arrow version. We'll also keep the diamonds =).

Regarding renders ...

Is anyone keen on replacing the diamond keys with "super" or "code"? This came up in the geekhack thread.

The voting process ended with the following results on sunday:

I'm currently waiting for a quote on the first set. Once that's in we will see if we need to streamline it a bit.

I'm going to "close" the vote on sunday night, a couple more votes would be nice to have I think. Any other suggestions regarding missing/superfluous/wrong caps in the draft? My plan is to get a quote from GMK next week.

Added poll and new mockups to the first post to evaluate if it makes sense to move this venture forward.

Well if the overall feeeling is that they are too dark we could go with cyan (TU2) or the light green (AE) although cyan mods are abundantly available. Personally I really like the light green =).

GMK is possibly going to add some more colours to their standard palette next year but custom colours used in previous GBs will not be added.

Plan: Wait for Yuri GMK and Mute group buys to be fulfilled and run this GB with full icon modifiers in muted colors.
The icon mods certainly look nice but ...

My hypothesis for now is that it's no longer custom because they already have their formula for this. No prototyping, no external cost, just run of the mill production ...

I'm not exactly sure how the Muted GB would affect the MOQ on this one.

GMK checked the draft I sent them (~74 keys) and concluded that there are still too few to offer a MOQ of 250 sets. I highly doubt that we can fulfill the 500 MOQ so we are stuck with the standard colours.

GMK offered to individually check our draft wether it may qualify for a lower MOQ so I'm going to throw in all the TKL keys I can find. Is that something we might want to do for custom colours?

Got word back from GMK. The MOQ for a set consisting of 40-50 caps would be 500 . The MOQ of 250 is based on sets consisting of at least 104 caps.
