If you want a stiffer clicky switch you might as well swap in Novelkeys thick clickbar switches as they're a better design than the clickjacket anyways.

I agree, but the retooled BOX switches are still destroying keycaps.

OP could also get the Speed Navy which is very similar but it doesn't use ...

G80-1800

Built out of crackers but it's a great layout and the flimsiness isn't as noticeable on a compact board. It's got basically all of the keys of a full size but in a nice compact size.

I swapped in salmon sliders and pine tops into my AT-101w. Really enhanced the sound and feel.

The video doesn't do it justice but it sounds like a proper complicated tactile Alps keyboard now compared to the rattly bamboo tops.

Still has kind of the rougher undefined tactility that SKCM Black have but it's less clunky and fatiguing and sounds better now.

I personally found that when I replaced the ORIGINAL springs from the Black Alps with slightly weaker springs the switch then becomes vastly different during usage ...

I replaced the tops on my SKCM Black with pine tops and salmon sliders from a junked M0116. The switches feel lighter and smoother now and actually sound like proper complicated Alps and don't rattle like they did with the bamboo tops.

I'd take an AT-101w over any board with MX Brown in them.

I replaced the top housings and the sliders on a few of my SKCM Black with Pine tops from some linearized SKCM Salmon I never use. It really enhances the feel. They seem slightly lighter and the tactility is more pronounced.

I have to get some proper tools to do this but I would like to do this to ...

I am confused by the keycaps on my AT-101w. They are still thin ABS but the legends don't seem to be lasered. What kind of printing could it be?

This is a AT-101w GYUM92SK specifically btw!

I finally snagged an AT-101w for $30 and just got it today. Very nice keyboard and SKCM Black are better than I was expecting.

The seller cleaned the board so it looks quite good, but there is some yellowing and the switches are a little scratchy but otherwise I'm happy with it. Really don't want ...

If it's any help, the tactile variants of Space Invaders are probably the least good. The tactile bump is sort of wimpy and unclean like MX Brown (although they ARE better than MX Brown at least a little) but they have a kind of weird/sticky bottom out.

any non-clicky linear should be fine as long as you don't hammer the keys like a madman when you're typing on it.

Non-Clicky MX can sound nice. Plate mounted with some shorter, thick, keycaps results in a fairly quiet and bassy noise.

The clickies just sound awful, though.

Datadesk "Lil' Big Board with three Alps clones.

Found this at the thrift store yesterday for just a few bucks. At first glance it looked like one of those terrible Apple rubber domes from the 2000's but once I pressed a few keys I knew it was something more interesting than that.

After some light cleaning:

Sorry for the super late reply.

I have no more pictures, but all of the switches are browns except for the spacebar which is an amber.
