The AT101W is an excellent chasis, I have one that I transplanted blue ALPS into and it is a joy to use.

The black variant of AT101W is much harder to find and looks much more contemporary.

I grabbed one.
I have a plan for it in which I will spare no expense.

Yeh white/cream with grey legends, very nice.
Plus I have a monochrome DOS 286 to play around with now.

I also finally acquired some Blue Alps today for a non extortionate price. It was known that the NEC PowerMate Portable had them, but this was a later revision of that model, I took a chance on it... Not at the moment, plus I'm in Aus so the shipping would likely be pretty bad, but give me a message as I do need to clear out/sell some stuff soon. I did try making them ANSI with a couple of SGI dyesubs, but unfortunately the different fonts, colours and keycap shapes didn't really work that well...

Yup. I’ve got a Zenith laptop board with the blue ones, which aren’t stellar but there’s plenty worse out there, besides: the caps are wonderful!

They are great caps, I prefer the grey ones from my Toshiba laptop aesthetically, but quality wise they are top notch.
