I cleaned the innards of the switches in question with an air compressor (far better than canned air), so I'd say "no". I was tempted to use a circuit cleaner on it, but since it's vaguely oily I didn't want to risk ruining the switches.

Before switching to mechanical I used to throw away 1 of those every 6 months. They are usable and were my favorite keyboard indeed, but after a while the larger keys would just get stuck, no decent stabilizers ...

Reds above anything else, thanks to living close by to xbb (which has a bit of everything) I could try them all, and was able to determine that it's reds all the way for me (even though I'm currently using blacks with blue springs, which are virtually identical to reds).
