Re: Dark gray/industrial looking keyboard recommendations?
Yup. Please hit me with a PM if I forget about it. Tomorrow will be a touch busy for me. Ironic, because I ended up forgetting. I may have found another candidate, but I'd still like a pic of your keyboard if possible. https://auctions.c.yimg.jp/images.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/image/dr000/auc0408...

Re: Dark gray/industrial looking keyboard recommendations?
You know, you could just get an "industrial grey" Model M case. I have one. They're $30 on the Unicomp website. They're much darker than Unicomp's pic. I will also have a couple cases I need to paint, so I'm happy to see this thread! Unfortunately the Hitachi is much darker than the industrial Mode...

Re: Dark gray/industrial looking keyboard recommendations?
Could just spray paint a board with not too many grooves and nooks and crannies; get a dolch or black cap set. If you were in the US, I would highly recommend this product, which I have used many time with great results. Go to an automotive store and see what they have. PS - as always with any form...

Dark gray/industrial looking keyboard recommendations?
Hey guys, I've got this weird Hitachi thing called the MI-CAT60 that has a PS/2 port for a keyboard and I'd like to find a matching dark gray keyboard for it if possible. Got any recommendations? (other than an industrial Model M of course  ) https://i.imgur.com/ZCr1b4B.png And if anyone is cur...

Re: [FS] Chrome Filco FKB-97S and Gold Filco Stealth FKB-92ERG - ALPS SKCM White Switches
Admittedly, I would want the stealth in my collection, purely because it IS so gaudy. But, the value added by the rarity of it puts it firmly out of reach for my interests. Good luck with sale! Heh, I get what you mean, it's tempting to hold onto it for exactly that reason. You can make an offer on...

EDIT: both sold! Hi all, I've got these two keyboards to sell. It's hard to tell what they're worth, however they are undoubtedly difficult to find. The prices below are not necessarily set in stone, please feel free to PM me an offer. They're both in pretty good condition with a few signs of wear ...

Hey all, I'm wondering what these guys are worth: - T-ZONE limited edition gold Filco Stealth FKB-92ERG, sold at Macworld Expo Tokyo 1998, 1 of 100 made. A Macintosh ADB keyboard using Alps SKCM White switches, comes with a generic grey ADB cable. https://i.imgur.com/OUnjxSf.jpg https://i.imgur.com/...

Re: Shiny chrome and gold Filco Mac ADB keyboards - any info?
I've seen pictures of the Filco Stealth before, but with silver case. Edit: https://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/article/980220/macexpo5.htm The gold Stealth keyboard was sold at T-ZONE Mac building. The Stealth with silver case and gold keys that I had seen is also in the article but mentioned as a...

Shiny chrome and gold Filco Mac ADB keyboards - any info?
I bought these two Filco keyboards on Yahoo auctions earlier this year and was wondering if there was any information on them out there. The gold one came with the box and black ADB cable while the chrome came with nothing. https://i.imgur.com/bNTV8oZ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/9WF38QP.jpg They both ca...

Re: IBM SSK club!
Hey all, I'm finally part of the SSK club! I got this guy for around 5,000 yen from Yahoo Auctions (plus shipping to Australia) and it arrived with a completely cracked barrel plate. Thank god Unicomp sells replacements or I would've had to glue it back together really poorly. After a thorough clean...

Re: Finally a proper case for the Vortex ViBE
Beautiful... but a huge shame. Mac 128k/512k/Plus keyboards are expensive enough as it is, I'd rather not be paying $300 for one of them in a few year's time when everybody has cannibalized their cases

Re: Fixing a Commodore SX-64 keyboard - alternative to "Graphit 33" conductive spray?
How about aluminium tape ? https://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/adhesives-sealants-tapes/tapes/aluminium-tapes/ THe surface may be protected with something but you can just rub it off with a scotchbrite I thought about this, but ultimately I feel it will be too fiddly and time consuming - at that point I...

Re: Fixing a Commodore SX-64 keyboard - alternative to "Graphit 33" conductive spray?
Maybe a silver ink conductive pen will work fine. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Conductive-Silver-Ink-Pen-Writer-Circuit-Marker-50-Silver-CSIP-998/222892596383?hash=item33e56f1c9f:g:kJIAAOSwImRYCx2P:rk:1:pf:0 I've heard the same thing about using those conductive silver pens as using a graphite pencill,...

Re: Fixing a Commodore SX-64 keyboard - alternative to "Graphit 33" conductive spray?
If you want, you can use a graphite pencil but make sure it's graphite. You can just rub some on. I have fixed two of these keyboards and I have never had to use anything. Just a good cleaning should fix them. If I recall correctly, I used an eraser to clean the rubber tips. Good luck. Disassemblin...

Fixing a Commodore SX-64 keyboard - alternative to "Graphit 33" conductive spray?
Hey all, I recently acquired a Commodore SX-64 and the keyboard is really hit or miss. Some keys either required hard presses or multiple presses, and others didn't work at all. I followed this tutorial and disassembled it: http://wolfgang-langer.com/commodore-sx64-keyboard-repair/ My keyboard appea...

IBM 8503 Monochrome VGA Monitor - Cut cable!
Hey all. I was recently given an IBM model 8503-004 monochrome monitor but the VGA cable has been cut. Would anyone happen to have this same monitor and be able to open theirs up? It would be very simple to figure out the pinout - the cable connects inside to the neck board and mainboard using 2 soc...

Great suggestions guys, thanks! What about the Cherry G84? I know it was available definitely in the mid 90ies, not sure when it was introduced. But it's quite tiny and mechanical (with ML switches). https://deskthority.net/wiki/Cherry_G84-4100 Ah yes, I've always liked the look of this one, but app...

With a description like that, you might want to show us a pic so we know what you’re talking about! Off the top of my head, there wasn’t anything (mechanical) smaller than the K110 back then, but I know I’m good at forgetting the perfectly obvious so I quite expect someone to point that out. What's the smallest ever mechanical AT or PS/2 keyboard?
Hey all, I was browsing some auction sites today and came across an absolutely TINY DOS PC - like, I'm talking around 2 and a half 3.5" floppy drives wide, and maybe 1 and a half deep. It must be the smallest DOS PC I've ever seen and I want it so badly, but the seller has it ridiculously priced and...
