I don't have a whitefox, but for sure that may be solved. The nrf chip is very small, maybe one can mount it with the antenna outside the case. How many LEDs are we talking about? Think I should have another look at the whitefox, to see what would have to be done there. The ble chips use very few po...

With a little help it should be possible to get tmk running on chibios on a dirt cheap nrf51822. I have a working Apple IIc board converter build on top of their sdk example. But I had no success when trying to compile tmk with the patched chibios on it. Another route maybe to build tmk via the mbed...

Macboarder found a board, that I ordered for him. It's a really interesting find. We weren't able to find much information about it. It was made by Multitech(which became Acer) for the Apple ][. Also used for their Apple ][ compatible MPF-III. We both would love to know more about the board and the ...

Wow lots of features! I am trying to use the nrf51822 either as PS2 -> Bluetooth adapter(but i can't even find out how to set the Makefile to use the nrf51 settings from the chibios-contrib directory) or as Bluetooth adapter for my Teensy++. Other way would be to use it together with the teensy in m...

@pomk: Last Christmas?-) As tmk has chibios support, one may try to compile tmk for the NRF51822(or later, whatever chibios supports). Anybody has an example how to build with chips only supported from chibios-contrib. The softdevice is not working hasu said, but that should be fixable, at least I'd...

The HM-10 is another module, afaik. I try to do it with an arduino core on the nordic nrf51822. This link lets me assume, that I'll need additional hardware to flash it: http://www.rogerclark.net/arduino-on-the-nrf51822-bluetooth-low-energy-microcontroller/ the core gist I am planing to use: https:/...

If I manage to flash it, we could also try that remote, if you like to. I did not even read the docu yet!-( I am no windows User. But there should be a way to include AHK scripts, even when I doubt that it makes sense security wise. There are some interresting arduino password managers out there. I'...

@Laser: When it comes to the layout I am with you. I still must be able to work on any standard keyboard, so an atreus would be to far from it for me. You are right when it comes to the possibilities to remap esx anywhere. I use a Space-FN setup, so that wouldn't get complicated. I have used different Trackpoint modules in the keyboards I made. They mostly came from old thinkpads. Alonswartz has created a gist with all information. Keyboard related infections Wow, I think I got another infection. First it started, when I remembered the mechanical boards we used in the 80s. I got myself a pretty MX Clear Cherry G80. And wow, I was happy like a child. There remained a problem, though. Since the 90s and my first ThinkPads I was a...

I found two Apple Extended Boards, they are great, seem to have lived their entire life inside a max bag, which stood in an empty server rack!-) They feel great, despite a little different. Wow, you guys rock! And you are right! On the inner side I found the text: ORTEK MCK-106-B-C. Do you think it has some worth, or should I just harvest the switches? Wow, finally finished it. My first custom build! It was made possible by this great community and my friend Sami, who is incredible when it comes to improvisation! Yeah, it was much cheaper than switches! And it took less than 20 minutes to get them out. It think it would need much glue. Think, I will give Findecanors solution a try. But this looks a lot of work to me! Need to find a .5mm plate for that! Thanks for the hint, that I'll need to glue'em anyway. M...

Recycle cheap qpad steel plate(1mm)
I bought a QPad Board with blue cherries to harvest the switches. Now the 1mm thick(!!!) steel plate which is pretty rigid lies in front of me and my brain doesn't stop tinkering with it. To good for trash to thin to use. The switches keep moving around. Now I wonder if there are some kind of clips ...
