I didn't specify this but did contact MD and reminded them that word gets out quickly in small passionate groups (I belong to a disparate bunch of them on MD), and that it would behoove them to clean their slate. And that I would not be ordering until such time as they come clean or pay up ...

Strongly worded letter inbound. They can't expect to run an enthusiast focused business and be comfortable slighting the leaders of the community. Don't worry- professional and your name was left out.

Wow- congrats on the kid!

I understand, it sounds like the manufacturer is a classic PITA to deal with. I never understand companies that refuse to provide the service that they supposedly exist for.

Any word on anything Xmit? I'm still hoping for further development of the Hall effect board, and would gladly snag an tactile TKL if there is a round three...

Ah, not sure if that will work on mine, I keep meaning to pick up a bigger size hole punch and just punch a bunch of slightly under a centimeter circles and put them at the bottom of the well (on the HE sensors). But it's not at the front of the list by any means... :)

Very cool- I have a TKL from the first batch (linear, acrylic), and love it but am hoping for a v3 tactile some time. Could you post a photo of the foam cushion arrangement? I've been debating trying something for a little bottom damping...

It's been tried (keycap screens), crazy expensive and not part of this thread at all.

Yea- the bamboo is cool looking, but doesn't fit my desk / office. I'd also like quiet tactile and stiffer springs (75 / 80) in a perfect world. But the first round unit has handled a year plus of gaming, and I still like typing on it.

I have an acrylic TKL from the first drop, no QA issues other than a single key with a bit of wobble (moved it to Home), and a slightly loose USB socket. I have not lubed, but I did swap in the 70g springs. What would you like to know (I'll answer anything I can).

I'd ask that at the 'drop. Any info here would be the first round which were different, and might have even been made by a different company.

I can't direct compare, but the XMIT one isn't plastic sounding. If I stop gorilla smashing the keys for a moment it's very quiet, and bottomed fairly hard they are loud but different from blues. And I hear that heavier keycaps quiet it down even more, but have not checked yet.

Thank you much for the update- I hope you read my comments in a joking voice...

But I did take my first round TKL black/clear to work and it got a large number of good reviews and interest. I just don't want to take it back and forth to much, 'cause I love it so.

Any news Xmit?

Side note- got off my lazy behind and swapped in the heavier springs, and they are great!
I can't decide if I was to go TKL or smaller next time, but I think a separate tenkey would be a cool idea.

Still; Very cool!

I'm still daily driving my round one disco '87. It's got hundreds of hours of Warframe and Mass Effect under it's belt, and I have not has any issues (other than a slightly loose USB socket). Any idea when we can start seeing round 2 news?

Did you just drop the o-rings at the bottom of the springs? I'm hoping to get around to opening my TKL to swap springs, and wouldn't mind putting a little bit of bumper under there...

Hi XMIT,
Got mine- add me to the satisfied list. USB connection isn't the tightest would be the only QA point, but I have already 'sold' a couple when the tactile comes along. I am loving the lighting more than I thought I would, and will be switching to the stiffer springs since I type like a ...
