The vertical and horizontal ones are not interchangeable - that was very much a lesson learned the hard way ;) Hehe I recently repaired a M122 (fairly late one from 1997) with brocken plastic dots / messed up springs... I had to rescrew the layers like 3 times, until I got everything working again....
