Re: Spring weights
I am looking for springs which fit in the gap between 67 and 80. It appears that they are not easily available and I am asking whether you guys know how to get some There are springs from sprit available in 72g and 78g from https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?pg=1&l=product_list&c=339 @d...

Re: Spring weights
Yes and yes, switches are complicated beasts and different stems will have different actuation points and thus the "actuation" figure is inherently inaccurate. The way that I think about these numbers is they just give an "arbitrary scale". I am looking for springs which fit in the gap between 67 an...

Spring weights
It seems to me that most of the (even custom) cherry mx spring weights are distributed quite uniformly between 35g and 67g (actuation). Then there is a gap to 80g and larger gaps down the road. Anybody has suggestions for weight between 67 and 80? These should be between clears and grays for the che...

Switch stickers and films
Hi deskthority,
I am wondering if anyone has tried switch stickers or films on plate mounted switches. They are supposed to reduce wobble. Are they considerably effective?
Thanks

You have a left arrow on your j key. I guess the keycap has no deep dish and I wonder how does it work without that. I would be pretty lost without a homing keyzslane wrote:Sorry, but I'm not sure I understand the question.

That looks pretty sweet jacopods! Here's my CDC-713 inspired Plum Nano: cdc7_nano.jpg I had an old CDC-713 terminal when I was in high school, and it had a tan enclosure, which makes my decision to paint one of my Plums tan all the more satisfying! :ugeek: Beautiful. Out of curiosity how do you man...

Re: Round 5 in stock / Round 6 in production / phase 2 kits for sale!!!
I don't use Blender, nor do I have any desire to install it on my computer. But I'm sure there must be a common geometry format that is compatible with both Houdini and Blender (e.g., .OBJ or something). Saving out the models in that format would be pretty straightforward, if someone familiar with ...

Re: Round 5 in stock / Round 6 in production / phase 2 kits for sale!!!
May I ask if you used some publicly available models for the SA profile or if you cooked them up from scratch? I modeled them myself from scratch. Note, however, that I only created a single 1u model for each row profile. To generate the other sizes, I've set things up so Houdini can resize the 1u ...

plate damaged in the mail
Dear all, I finally received today the steel plate from our friends at lasergist, and unfortunately there was some damage which probably occurred in the mailstream. As you can see despite the potato quality of this picture, the plate is quite warped. IMG_20171129_152806.jpg Is there a way that I can...

Flat case for a 60%
Does anyone have suggestions for a flat case for a 60%? All that I can find have the 5-7 degrees angle which I find undesirable with the SA profile.
I thought of 3d printing some angled feet to compensate the angle, but I have doubts that it will look good.
Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

Since I guess 7bit is buried under several dozens boxes of keycaps at the moment, perhaps I've better luck to ask in this thread. If the bot claims that my order has been PACKED it means that all keycaps were available from the leftover sets, and are now in an envelope waiting for being shipped by 7...

Difference between pcb and plate mounted cherry stabilizers
Can pcb mounted cherry stabilizers be used without a pcb on a plate? (as with the switches?). For some reason plate mounted cherry stabilizers are uncommon, so I was wondering if the pcb mounted could serve both purposes.
Thanks
