Recent keyboard purchases for me are: Matias Tactile Pro 4 : I use it in Windows so the default keyboard layout would be a bit of a pain, but I've used Autohotkey to remap it into something far more convenient. Nice keyboard overall, very loud and clicky, and quite fascinating to use a currently pro...

It looks like this thing sat through 30 years worth of Marlboro's. Nah mate, that's clearly just your standard (albeit an extreme example of) yellowing from light exposure. If it were dirt then the whole thing would be a similar colour, not just the keys. You were probably just joking but, well, I ...

I worked out an ideal solution for this actually. I realised that the Matias driver is just a compiled autohotkey script. This was useful because it gave me a way of being able to know that a compiled autohotkey script would run on my work laptop without administrator access. So I just downloaded au...

Yeah, I realise they're different products, but as all it does is remap keys I would have thought this behaviour is a bit odd. It is really strange that it works perfectly apart from remapping one extra key, which is a standard key and not some special hotkey or anything, to something pretty random!

Odd behaviour with Matias Tactile Pro Windows 'driver'
Matias has a Windows 'driver' for their Matias pro keyboard, which is really just a script you can run that remaps some of the keys so they more closely match the location and function of keys on a standard Windows keyboard (the keyboard is primarily designed for Macs). I downloaded it to try with t...

Interesting auction for an Amstrad 486 PC. Looks like there was an Amstrad branded model of the AT102 keyboard produced. I've not seen any other examples of this:

Something I've often wondered about with these Sun keyboards is whether the function keys on the left of the keyboard do anything, and what the modifier keys on the bottom map to when used in Windows. Do they work in Windows, and do any of the modifiers function the same as the Windows and Menu keys...

Anyone recognize the vintage board (2nd from bottom, of course)? I'm thinking definitely ALPS, likely SKCM blue as the accompanying monitor is dated 1988. Datacomp? very old Focus? The case also looks like one of the old Chiconies but I think none of them came in XT layout. Found a good many photos...

Interesting info about the other model numbers being indicated on the inside of the case mouldings. That was posted while I was writing my previous post so I didn't reply to it in that, but I've looked inside the moulding and checked the info on my two and it is as follows: Leaf spring: PCB is label...

Definitely not a standard FKB4700 because the switches look very different and there are no domes present. This is why it seems rather interesting. I've tried to get a photo where you can clearly see down inside the stem housing. You can see there is no rubber dome, in fact you can see right down to...

Does anyone know what kind of switch this might be? I initially thought Fujitsu Peerless, but I now doubt that because the design looks quite different. There doesn't appear to be a rubber dome, and instead there is a plastic lever that seems to depress into the bottom side of the key switch housing...

This weird thing. It's some sort of ICL terminal keyboard with a UK phone socket style plug. One missing key, and quite dirty - I haven't bothered to clean it because I don't know if anyone would want to buy it so it's not worth the effort at the moment! It came as part of a job lot and I don't have...

I know it's not very exotic but I've just got a Cherry MX-Board 3.0 with red switches, and I'm really surprised how nice this thing is. It's great to type on, and I was unsure whether I'd like the shorter travel but it's actually really pleasing and I think it helps me to type a bit faster. It looks...
