It's ISO alright, just as US ANSI is ISO https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO/IEC_9 ... rrangement
But when every keyboard layout is ISO, none will be.

Just a potato picture, but after a long trial and error I finished the bottom row mod of my Model F AT this morning. The xwhatsit controller is already installed, idk if it works, but I hope it does. https://deskthority.net/resources/image/41180 Nice! The stabilizer layout looks interesting, are yo...

I'm leaning towards unicomp caps on this one. the AT should have one piece caps if they were original, should it not? The way I usually tell is that original APL caps have "APL" on the front face of the backspace key, which they could do to a 1U backspace I would think. Also, anyone ever seen an AP...

I feel sorry for you, i wouldn't have seen that too. I guess the only way to tell that it's a rubberdome is to google the number on it :( If it has an sdl cable you can make some money back, else I can tell you if you can reuse things, the knowledge about these rubberdome is probably limited here N...

Nothing concrete on the case yet. Though with the big left/right/top bezels, a F 4704 style case suggests itself. did get some Korean Corian clone off-cuts. The sheets are 12mm thick, which is on the thin side (4704 top and bottom halves seem to be 15mm each). Hmm. Also, I think I'll practice with a...

I'm going through the try-all-the-switches phase. So here's my grey HHKB2 with grey alphas and Topre accent keys and my kitchen counter. http://i.imgur.com/9b8deVg.jpg Keyboard from Amazon JP, alphas from an Ebay seller, accent keys from an Ebay scalper. Amazon JP was the most convenient with all th...

I only added the left-hand enter key because you called it out in your post and that made me rethink my choice. Originally I had Caps Lock in its place (because I don't need three Control keys, not because I want Caps lock). I'm fairly convinced that Enter is a better choice, can be useful when the ...

Post-disassembly pictures: rainbow backplate and the membrane http://imgur.com/AuAJbQO.jpg http://imgur.com/74JcNWK.jpg As I mentioned in the other thread, there's a column of pads on the left that don't have any corresponding barrels. Which means that I can't cut off the empty space on the left of ...

Another custom 62% Model M build
I posted about this on the Compact Buckling Spring thread, but thought it was rude to hijack rsbseb’s thread, so I’m starting a separate topic here. I’ve been using a Kinesis Advantage (brown MX) without thinking about keyboards for the last couple years until it had a beverage-related outage. So I ...

I just signed up (hello!) and I'm also interested in your progress. I bought a wheelwriter 3 keyboard on ebay (no case, like JP!) to start a similar project after seeing someone else's result (I hope I can come up with a smaller case): http://i.imgur.com/tG2Xt93.jpg I just started taking my keyboard...
