Re: Looking for advice for HHKB topre switches

There are a few aftermarket options although none of them seem to be perfect. Topre Realforce RGB comes with MX sliders, but from what I have heard, they are also not as good as regular Topre mount sliders. I have a Topre RGB and when it comes to stability and smoothness, I can find no difference b...

Re: F104+SSK+122+62+77+50+Ergo orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

I got my Ultra Compact F104 today and WOW, what a beast! It's so heavy and well-built. Assembly (i.e., putting in the stabilizer inserts and keys) was straightforward, although I read the entire how-to guide on the Model F website several times and watched the entire setup video. I had a few stabili...

Currently using a M122, great board once you have got used to the layout, looking forward to the model F upgrade. Currently got my M122 modified to allow integration with home assistant. Intending on doing that with the F122 as well once I have one. Yes, I used mine as my daily driver for several m...

Re: F104+SSK+122+62+77+50+Ergo orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

I absolutely love the design of the new F122s. It fixes all of the usability issues with the original 122s - some separation in the banks of F-keys, an inverted-T nav, and an Esc key. I ordered the Ultra Compact 104 last week so still have never tried a Model-F, but the F122 is really calling to me ...

Re: Alps SKCL Switches (Round 2)

I got mine today too and wasted no time in soldering them into my Omnikey Ultra-T. It’s pretty unbelievable that we’re all here in 2018, more than 20 years after complicated ALPS went out of production, and we get to type on brand new ALPS switches. Thanks for running the group guy again Blaise. Thi...

Re: Alps SKCL Switches

Would anyone be interested in Alps clone switches? I am buying some of these myself, 10 for $1 (without shipping) basically. Don't know anything about them but they might be good if you repair boards and need a switch here or there. https://m.intl.taobao.com/detail/detail.html?id=521457500805 May I...

Re: Alps SKCL Switches

Shame, if anything, that these don't use SKCM housings! Imagine how many switches you could clean up with these! I was actually wondering about this. So you can’t put tactile or clicks leaves into these yellow alps housings? Is it because of the LED cutout in the top housing? Fortunately, yellow AL...

Re: Alps SKCL Switches

What will you guys do with your yellow alps once they arrive? I have a Northgate Omnikey Ultra-T with some white ALPS that are in pretty bad shape. I’m putting in some Matias dampened tactile switches for now, but I will likely swap in these yellow switches once they arrive. ALPS makes the only lin...

Re: Alps SKCL Switches

Got you added applehugger, oddly never got a PM from you. Sent the seller a message to see if they will be willing to do any volume discounts and if so what kind of prices they would be looking for. They might not be willing but still a great price regardless. Thanks Blaise. I wonder if there’s an ...

I’m in for 150 switches please. I sent you a pm a few days ago. Thanks for running a second round; this is great!

I think the onbreak command may be causing trouble. Otherwise, it may be a little strange to break control before breaking P. I think what may be happening, is that it's pushing down control and P, and then the onbreak is either failing to trigger or the ordering of the commands is preventing them ...

Discarded? Yes: PBT is very prone to warping on large keys. A spacebar is extremely long; basically a worst-case scenario for PBT extrusion. Therefore, the manufacturing process suffers a high number of defective (warped) spacebars. ABS doesn't suffer from the shrinkage and warping issues PBT does,...
