Re: F104+SSK+122+62+77+50+Ergo orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

So after starting the documentation for QMK, I discovered Vial more or less accidentally. Well Vial scores top marks because it's basically everything I use QMK for except in a much easier to use GUI package. For some reason I just glossed over Vial in the past, but I finally tried it and I can see ...

Re: F104+SSK+122+62+77+50+Ergo orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

I am not terribly familiar with the QMK codebase, but it looks like it may be a compiler compatibility issue. Have you tried compiling with other GCC versions or on a different platform? Yeah it turned out to be a compiler issue. While not listed anywhere in the instructions I found, upon running Q...

Re: F104+SSK+122+62+77+50+Ergo orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

If all you want is just basic QMK, then yeah, basically just clone the purdea.ro git repo and build straight from that. Really should work out of the box, and there's nothing piecemeal about it. I'm trying my darndest but I keep running into issues. I started by nuking any qmk executable I had on m...

Re: F104+SSK+122+62+77+50+Ergo orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

I've been wanting to use my F77 lately, but I've noticed that the QMK support still hasn't been merged into the official QMK github repo. Does anyone know why it's taking so long and when it will be in the official repo? *sigh* Like any software project -- open source or not -- the project owner / ...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

Hello, been a while since I've participated in this thread. Do we have an ETA on when the Model F QMK support will be put into the official version? I just cloned pandrews repo and noticed I had to get an older version of QMK. Since it's been almost two years since it's had QMK support I was hoping ...

While on the topic of QMK, I thought I'd throw in that I added a macro that opens up the QMK MSYS and the keymap.c file that I use, and it makes it so easy to edit my keymap within a few minutes.

Aren't you using a USB hub? If you do, make sure that it is a powered one. I was having ghost keys registered with an unpowered USB hub.

The screw + paper method seems like the best method so far to remove stabilizer inserts! Dye sublimation update: We finally have some approvable key sets! Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

Ok I got the QMK beta on my Model F77 now, and it's working flawlessly! The chattering issues I had before are now gone! One more question: I'm not sure I want a solenoid, but I would be interested in getting a beeper, like the ones that were in the original Model F62/77/107s. Does anyone know of an...

Re: F62+F77 orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards

Ok so I've been using my Model F a ton, and the switches are unmatched for sure. The only thing is, I'm at a point where if the threshold is too low(<120-123), I get multiple keys registering on one keypress. When the threshold is too high (124-130<), I get chattering on the spacebar, as well as a f...

I just received my keyboard about an hour ago, and everything is working great except the E, R, D, F, C, V, 3, and 4 keys aren't registering. The threshold is set at 120 and works perfectly except those 8 keys, which are all in column 3. I looked at xwhatsits documentation, and I couldn't find a sol...

Re: Alps Appreciation

(I hope this fits here since it's an Alps keyboard :) ) The Apple M0116 keyboard has a really weird and bad arrow key arrangement, so I recently changed mine to the one in the picture below. It's much better, and although I'm still not used to where the /? is now, it's much easier to navigate. I'm p...

TMK ADB-USB converter not working

Tried posting this on r/mk but nobody replied :( I just flashed a new .hex firmware onto my ADB-USB converter for my Apple M0116. Apple M0116 not working correctly

Hello deskthority, I recently purchased an Apple M0116 keyboard that only works when I continually hold down the power button while using it. I'm using a drakware ADB2USB converter, which works perfectly with my AEKII (that's how I'm typing this). I've tried opening up the switch, and it looks reall...

BTW. Matias "Quiet Click" switches aren't really clicky switches, are they? You're correct, Matias Quiet Click switches do not click. They are dampened tactile switches with an awful name. I think Matias was trying to make it easier for the casual customers, by trying to say that they're similar to...
