Scratchiness of switches confirmed and everything - I think I'm going to call them SKCM Uncertain Blacks, as they don't have any character :) - ... what can one do regarding that poorly built spacebar, which is worse than every spacebar ...

Yes, this very much looks like an XT version with the AT badge. It also still uses the PBT caps. Interesting. I don't suppose there's a date stamp or sticker anywhere?
I checked the back, but there was no date stamp/sticker. There's only some kind of copyright date on the inside which says 1985 ...
