Re: F104+SSK+122+62+77+50+Ergo orders now open! New Kishsaver+Industrial Model F Keyboards
Sure this has been asked, but the thread is getting looong. Is it possible to adapt my m77, adding a split right shift? Involved, I'm sure, but possible?

Re: Model F XT not working with DIY Soarer's converter
Hi, A couple of thoughts: if your converter works with two other keyboards, don't try to fix that. It should identify what protocol to use, but if you've reprogrammed it you might've changed something there. If you haven't, leave the converter alone. I got an XT a short while ago and had some troubl...

Re: TAP - HOLD on the Soarer
Yeah, okay. Missed that. Totally going to build my own converter now. Thanks a lot!

TAP - HOLD on the Soarer
Hi, I've been wrestling with a Soarer's converter for about a week now. (I'm totally going to build an adapter running QMK.) I can't find anywhere how to make a key output one thing when it's tapped and another when it's held. (On a Model F/XT) I'd like F9 to be F9 unless I hold it down, then I'd li...

Re: IBM Model F third layer
I mean, it's always possible to map a key combination to reset the converter. Makes things easier, until it doesn't and you still have to pull stuff apart.

Re: IBM Model F third layer
When you said there were "no pins to short, no reset button"... what converter hardware is this? There presumably has to be one or the other somewhere, you might need to open the keyboard if it's been converted internally. See picture earlier in string. Or: https://www.ebay.com/itm/302711725609?has...

Re: IBM Model F third layer
Will do. I _might_ have spoken a little early there. Haven't really solved it after all. Missing dependencies. Will keep working.

Re: IBM Model F third layer
Hi all, This is such a great forum, lots of helpful people. I pretty much now what I need to do now. I _will_ do more research, but I'll ask here too. Inventing the wheel and all that. (There's probably a library... Damn those open source enthusiasts!) I'd like to use TMK for this. Write a few funct...

Re: IBM Model F third layer
Hi, Original poster here, sorry for being away, and thanks for all your kind help. 2021-06-04 12.05.24.jpg This board is the XT variety, and the Soarer's is of the commercial kind. Just an extension plug, no circuit board board. The layout is Swedish. Ctrl + Alt doesn't make Alt Gr in this case. I'l...

IBM Model F third layer
Hi all, I've got ahold of an IBM Model F(!). I now have a somewhat embarrassing question... How do you reach the third layer characters? I.e. the equivalent of Alt Gr? There even seems to be a fourth layer... With four characters on a few key caps. How does that work? I use a Soarer's converter (tha...

I was, but didn't realize they had ISO options. Very interesting, will look into that. Thanks a million!

Re: Alps stabilizers on ISO layout
All right. I'll put this out there: I'm actually trying to make keyboards. www.endgamekeyboard.com In that project I need to use standard size ISO enters. The solution I'm leaning towards is to copy Matias. Maybe different sets of holders in the keycap could solve a few problems? I'll look into that...

Re: Alps stabilizers on ISO layout
Man, this is so useful! I'm sorry I haven't seen this until today (will turn on notifications over mail or something). The topic is still very relevant. To begin with, my orientation was inverted. I placed the supports on the other side of the switch. But that points to a solution: I can put support...

Alps stabilizers on ISO layout
http://keyboard.cirrusmedia.se/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2019/04/Keybs-35-1024x576.jpg Hi! I need some help: what is the standard way to mount ISO enters with Alps stabilizers? If you have an Alps keyboard in ISO layout, you'd really help me out by lifting the keycap and take a picture of the stab...
